Responsibilities:
- Performing all assigned duties, including but not limited to; Trash pick-up, painting, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems, electrical, and furniture moving.
- Assisting with apartment turnover duties, including but not limited to; painting, sheet rock repair and carpentry.
- Ability to report to work in an emergency situation including, but not limited to: Snowstorms; hurricanes; floods; fires; essential equipment failures or malfunction.
- Assisting on weekend coverage with other maintenance staff.
- Aid in the moving of resident vehicles.
- Delivery services as needed using company vehicles including, pick-up truck, box truck, van, or bus locally or long range.
- Snow removal - including use of shovel, snow blower, tool cat and/or bob cat.
- Assume responsibility for self-safety and that of the immediate environment.
- Report updates to the Facilities Manager and Supervisor regularly and in emergencies.
- Being available for emergency calls on an alternating basis with other maintenance staff.
- Attending annual in-service programs including but not limited to body mechanics, right-to-know information, and fire and safety procedures.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by Supervisor/Facilities Manager.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge and a working knowledge of the trades.
- Painting, sheet rock repair and carpentry skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, push with repetition, and lift up to 50lbs.
- Must have ability to read, speak and write and follow oral and written instructions.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License with the ability to meet our driving record standard.
- Permission required to process Motor Vehicle Record.
