We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Maintenance Assistant to join our team.

Job Summary: The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for performing a variety of general building repair and maintenance tasks to ensure the facility remains in excellent condition. This role requires a strong knowledge of general maintenance practices and the ability to address issues promptly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
• Perform general building repairs including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
• Assist with HVAC system maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with facility equipment and fixtures.
• Conduct minor renovations and improvements as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of maintenance tools and equipment.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency maintenance issues as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in general building repair and maintenance preferred.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry.
• Ability to operate and maintain various tools and equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Flexibility to work on-call or adjust hours as needed.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Capability to perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
