POSITION: The Custodial/Maintenance Worker can be a self-starter or work as a team player. He/she is responsible for quality maintenance and some custodial duties at agency buildings and vehicles. This person will be able to work alone and be able to pace himself/herself to get job duties done in a timely manner. Must be able to trouble shoot and ascertain importance of emergency situations versus everyday work needing done. Reports directly to Maintenance Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS: A semi-skilled person who can maintain a group of buildings by performing minor electrical, mechanical or plumbing duties. Minimum experience of two years in general maintenance work which has involved at least two of the building, electrical or mechanical trades. (Acceptable trades include Carpenter, Mason, Plasterer, Painter, Plumber, Steamfitter, Roofer, Welder, Electrician (buildings), Mechanic (machinist, plant operator). Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Routine maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment.
a) opening blocked drains
b) repairing leaky faucets
c) replacing bulbs and switches, receptacles, and baluster
d) replacing and repairing screens
e) replacing broken windows and sashes
f) making minor repairs to machinery
g) mixing cement or plaster
h) painting buildings, rooms, walls or other surfaces
i) trimming & weeding flower beds and mulching shrub areas as needed
j) planting flowers or mulching as needed
k) cleaning and sweeping walks
l) power washing and cleaning outside of building as needed
m) shoveling sidewalks or snow blowing
n) winterizing buildings as needed by weather stripping, putting plastic on windows
o) moving furniture
p) inventory & order parts as needed for minor repair work
q) changing filters in heating & air-cooling systems as required
r) light construction work
s) light mechanical duties
2. Custodial duties
a) Picking up trash outside in lawn area.
b) Maintaining smoking containers.
c) Operating and caring for vacuum sweepers, carpet cleaners, polishing machines or any other janitorial equipment
d) delivering supplies
e) inventory and order supplies needed for job duties
f) setting up & taking down tables for events
g) cleaning floors and carpets
3. Van maintenance
a) Deliver vans to be serviced
b) Check oil, tires monthly
c) Take vans through car wash when needed
d) In extreme emergency situations, may need to substitute as van driver
e) Replace brakes and rotors
f) Tire Rotations
g) Oil changes, Fluid Levels maintained
h) Change of wipers, lights
4. Will be present for estimates of potential outside contracted work performed at CCC buildings and report to immediate supervisor or CFO.
5. Availability in extreme emergency situations
6. Other job duties may be assigned.
· Maintains and upholds Community Counseling Center's policies, respects confidentiality, and exhibits a professional demeanor at all times while at work.
· Any violation of policies and procedures/job duties will be subject to disciplinary action.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

· Participates in CCC CQI plan to ensure quality of service to CCC consumers.
