Bedrock Healthcare is currently looking for a Regional Level Maintenance Director, who is highly skilled in maintenance and upkeep of facilities. Bedrock manages seven facilities in the state of WI, however this role will cover the 2 Milwaukee area homes. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Collects and reviews maintenance requisitions from all units and departments of facility. Reviews information, establishes priorities, assigns staff or inspects, replaces, repairs or otherwise resolves problems.
- Implements the approved preventative maintenance program throughout physical plant and for all equipment per the schedule.
- Maintains all essential equipment (e.g., boiler room equipment, nursing unit/medication room refrigerators, kitchen refrigerator/freezer, laundry equipment) in safe operating condition.
- Inspects, tests and maintains resident call system to ensure a functioning communication system from rooms, toilets and bathing facilities.
- Cooperates with other departments to identify and accommodate individual resident needs and preferences. Communicates directly with residents.
- Completes required documentation and record keeping of maintenance activities.
- Collaborates with consultants with timely responses to request for information and suggestions to improve quality of maintenance services.
- Maintains adequate supplies and tools for efficient and effective functioning of maintenance department and Facility operations.
- Coordinates facility fire and disaster drills. In the event of an emergency, carries out assigned duties to assure resident safety.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced learning for this position is customarily acquired by a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction.
- At least 2 years experience with maintenance for a skilled nursing facility or assisted living centers is desired
- Knowledgeable in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and state required life safety guidelines.
