About the Job
We are hiring for a Maintenance Director to join our team at our skilled nursing facility.
The Director of Maintenace is generally responsible for all the maintenance needs of the facility, whether that is (a) performing routine maintenance with the supervision and assistance of maintenance technicans, (b) addressing more in-depth maintenance needs utilizing vendors that are vetted and contracted at reasonable rates, or (c) overseeing and sometimes perfoming maintenance work in emergent situations.
The Director of Maintenance is also responsible for the adherence of the facility to regulations of life safety from CMS, OSHA, etc. This includes educating the entire facility on what is needed to meet the requirements.
Finally, the Director of Maintenance is responsible for the recrutiment and retention of personnel in the maintenance department which includes, interviewing, disciplining, scheduling, and verifying time worked and payroll. Assisting in these is HR and the facility administrator.
Director of Maintenance Requirements include:
- Experience in a Skilled Nursing environment and Life Safety is Required
- Must have (2-3) years of experience as a Physical Plant Manager or Maintenance Director
- HVAC Certification preferred! Current experience in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Life Safety for a Skilled Nursing Facility.
- Maintenance projects and General repairs
- Routine preventative maintenance
- Contractor scheduling and price negotiations
- Familiarity with maintenance contracts and permitting
- Experience with Physical Plant, Bio Hazard, Elevator permits
- Availability to be part of an On-Call rotation - nights, weekends and holidays
