1. SUMMARY |
To repair and maintain electrical and electronic equipment. |
2. KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS |
2.1 Education, Licensing: Massachusetts Electrical License. High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience as required by the job.

3. SKILL REQUIREMENTS |
3.1. Problem Solving: Basic math skills. Knowledge of simple industrial equipment, ability to determine and report operational problems and provide remedies. 3.2. Physical Capability: Ability to lift 50 pounds (without assistance) and move pallets up to 1000 pounds utilizing material handling equipment. Must be able to work in confined spaces 3.3. Communication: Must have effective written and verbal English communication skills. Ability to complete assigned paperwork neatly and thoroughly. 3.4. Judgment in an Industrial Environment: Independent judgment skills required for nonstandard procedures

4. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS |
4.1. Minimum two years of industrial electrician experience required. |
5. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS |
5.1. Technical Skill Requirements: Must have proven trouble-shooting skills Must be able to read a variety of electrical meters. Must be able to set-up and use a wide variety of hand and power tools. Must be able to perform simple electrical calculations read blueprints and schematics. |
6. TYPICAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: |
6.1 Procedural Responsibilities: Perform remedial repair and installations related to electric equipment and facilities. Replace lights and fuses. Bend and install conduit, pull and terminate wires, replace motor starters. Overhaul relays, circuit breakers, electric power motors and motor bearings. 6.2 Physical Requirements and Activities Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Must be able to work from ladders at a height of 40 feet. Perform other duties as directed.

6.3 Workplace Maintenance Maintain a variety of electrical and electronic equipment. Replace defective contactors, modules on electronic controls and equipment. Snow removal, painting, cleaning, and hazmat responsibilities. On Call availability as needed. |
6.4 Equipment Operation. Knowledge to operate volt-ohm meters, oscilloscopes, continuity testers, wire tracing equipment and other equipment utilized during the typical incidences of the electrician’s duties. 6.5 Troubleshoot Equipment, PLC troubleshooting as well as installation. |
6.6 Regulatory Requirements Must be able to comply with all company safety and environmental rules and regulations. |
