Our client, a privately-owned US Chemical Company, has an excellent opportunity in La Porte, Texas (Houston area) for a Maintenance Engineer.

About the Position: In this key role, you will implement the plant Maintenance, Mechanical Integrity, and Reliability processes for all site assets. This includes responsibility for maintaining compliance with OSHA PSM requirements for Mechanical Integrity (MI) processes, and you'll serve as the key contact for internal and external MI compliance audits.
Using Recognized and Generally Acceptable Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP), you'll oversee the results of preventive maintenance inspections, sign off as the PSM equipment owner on inspection paperwork, and make engineering recommendations to remedy equipment deficiencies. This includes ensuring the accuracy of all equipment documentation in the Maintenance Equipment files, ensuring there are no delinquent PM inspections, and managing all documentation concerning equipment status and PM extensions in the CMMS.
In addition, you'll maintain, coordinate, and communicate the PM inspection process in the facility, including status tracking and reporting.
Our ideal Candidate: We're seeking an accomplished Mechanical or Chemical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in a Maintenance, Mechanical Integrity, or Reliability role in chemical manufacturing operations, who is experienced with ERP/CMMS platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Chempax, Maximo, etc.
The preferred candidate will be skilled in effectively engaging people at all levels and driving organizational change, and have a demonstrated track record of critical thinking and problem solving. Experience with is required.

Background Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
- 8-10+ years of experience in a Maintenance Engineering, Mechanical Integrity, or Reliability Engineering role in chemical manufacturing or refining operations
- Experienced with Maintenance ERP/CMMS platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Chempax, Maximo, etc.
- Skilled in effectively engaging people at all levels and driving organizational change
- Demonstrated track record of critical thinking and problem solving. Experience with is required
- Stable, tenured work history
