Position: Processing plant Maintenance engineer

Purpose:
Sets overall maintenance department goals, processes, or procedures. In charge of diagnosing, designing, and executing maintenance and improvement plans to accomplish company objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Approves and oversees different capital projects (like software/machine purchases and installations or facility renovation projects).
- Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance and repairs.
- Identifies current and future maintenance needs; resource planning and implementation.
- Creates a preventive maintenance system as well as procedures to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
- Monitor and control equipment and parts inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Ensures all health, safety, and regulations are followed.
- Propose plant improvements in security, automation, and overall productivity and efficiency.
- Keep maintenance/repair logs and report on daily activities.
- Researches new technology and equipment for meat production, material handling, or facility improvement.
Skills:
- More than 2 years of professional experience in production plants.
- Mechanical engineer (IMA, IME, or similar).
- Self-directed, intrapersonal communication.
- Able to read and manage electrical diagrams.
- Leadership experience recommended.
- Bi-lingual (preferred).
- Excel expert
