Experience:
BS Mechanical or Chemical Engineer with 3-8 years of experience from either the refining, petrochemical, or chemical process industries. Experience with rotating and fixed equipment desired the key skill set would be Process Safety.
Duties: This Engineer will perform maintenance at this 100 person refinery while assuring safety.

Nature & Objective:
A support / supervisory position to the Maintenance Department. The
Maintenance Engineer monitors and coordinates daily maintenance activities,
provides technical / engineering support to maintenance groups as needed,
striving to continually identify and implement means of predicting and preventing
equipment failures, and provides assistance and support to the Maintenance
Manager to achieve overall departmental and corporate goals. This is a salaried
exempt position and serves as backup for the Maintenance/Engineering
Manager in their absence.

Position Qualifications:
· Requires a bachelor degree (preferably in or mechanical engineering) and
one to two years’ experience in a petrochemical and / or manufacturing
environment is recommended.
· Requires a self-motivated individual with strong leadership, communication and
organizational skills.
· Experience with Microsoft Office products is recommended.
· Requires successful completion of training requirements as outlined by the
Maintenance/Engineering Department.
Maintenance Engineer Job Profile
Responsibilities include the following:
· Maintains a clean and well-organized work space at all times.
· Strives to develop good working relationships with all co-workers, customers
and associates.
· Monitors the initiation, development, assignment and completion of general
maintenance work orders, constantly strives to identify areas in which
improvements could be made to decrease failures and increase the efficiency of
repairs.
· Acts as primary Technical Support for Construction Maintenance Group and
supplements other crafts and to coordinate work that involves multiple
departments and to ensure that all maintenance related tasks are completed in
a professional and timely manner.
· Provides support for non-routine maintenance work including maintenance and
emergency shutdowns.
· Maintains updated files for all major plant equipment containing drawings,
summaries of major repairs, purchasing documentation showing parts ordered
and associated costs, etc. and any other documentation related to the
equipment that may be needed.
· Maintains and further develops a computerized preventive maintenance system
to periodically provide maintenance to plant equipment as needed to reduce
equipment failures.
· Participates in all aspects of miscellaneous project and maintenance
engineering as necessary to meet the needs of Maintenance / Engineering
Department.
· Works with Warehouse personnel to establish and maintain proper min. / max.
levels for inventory.
· Works with Engineering Assistant to ensure that contracts of “on call” response
contractors are maintained in good standing.
· Provides support for monitoring, generating reports and distribution of KPI as
defined through

· Member of their Specification Book Committee to provide development of
corporate specifications.
· Follows policies and practices as stated in the Employee Handbook and other
facility policy and procedures manuals.
· Must meet the qualifications and successfully obtain Transportation Worker
Identification Credential (TWIC) card as outlined by the United States
Department of Homeland Security.
· Performs all tasks in accordance with plant safety guidelines and procedures
with a heightened sense of awareness to maintain a safe work environment.
