Job Title: Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping machines and tools in good working conditions to enhance efficiency and prevent malfunctions that could lead to costly repairs. The associate, as a full functioning technician, performs the complete range of maintenance, repair, and service activities. They are responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of the product.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH:
+ KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
+ Assists in the cross training of Maintenance Team and other Team Members.
+ Recommends improvements to reduce cost, production downtime and increase efficiency in area of responsibility. Implements improvements as approved.
+ Consistently applies effective troubleshooting skills.
+ Interprets and understands engineering drawings, manufacturer's instructions and plant maintenance procedures and specifications.
+ Maintains a positive working relationship with fellow team members and other departments. Communicates with various levels of supervision and management in all departments in a timely and professional manner.
+ Able to use and demonstrate proper care of tools and instruments required in job assignments.
+ Ensures that all machinery is in safe working condition. Adheres to safety policies and procedures and fosters a safe work environment.
+ Strictly adheres to proper Lockout/Tagout and Confined space procedures in all required situations.
+ Adheres to GMP, operational policies and procedures & ensures that contractors in area follow same.
+ Adheres to plant attendance policies.
+ Completes assigned work orders on a timely basis, including scheduled, emergency and preventative maintenance work orders. Enters required data into the Nestlé AMM program completely and accurately. Recommends changes to PM program to improve productivity.
REQUIREMENTS:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent Required
+ Maintenance or HVAC technical degree – Preferred but not required
+ Experience with maintaining general building systems - Preferred but not required
+ Experience with painting and repair of building systems- Preferred but not required
+ SAP and/or AMM experience – Preferred but not required
+ Experience in building and grounds care maintenance or related work – Preferred but not required
+ Etc.
SKILLS:
+ Technical diploma preferred but not required with experience.
+ Pneumatic/Hydraulic: Maintains replaces and repairs all pneumatic/Hydraulic equipment and troubleshoot complex pneumatic system issues.
+ Plant Systems: Monitor and Maintain Boilers, Air compressors, air conditioning, dust collectors, and other plant utility systems. Identify energy loss and correct issues.
+ Some additional trade skills such as welding, carpentry, plumbing etc. could be needed at this level or future levels within the department.
