Responsibilities:Stewardship – Engages team on the right way.
- Safely executes predictive activities, calibrations and modifications to instrumentation equipment
- Studies blueprints and instrument diagrams
- Identifies required materials such as instrumentation, materials of construction, control valves and all applicable fittings/connections
- Obtains the corresponding work permits and communicates effectively with operations and other impacted work groups to ensure effective hand-offs.
- Skilled in the use of a variety of tools to maintain, calibrate and repair instrumentation equipment.
Quality – Ensures work quality (right the first time)
- Complies with relevant codes and regulatory standards.
- Completes service reports and level C RCAs to identify and implement continual improvement actions.
- Interprets predictive maintenance data to identify and reduce risk.
- Interprets PI data trends for emerging issues with related equipment
- Follows procedures and policies and performs behavioral safety observations and dynamic risk assessment to ensure work is completed safely.
- Executes precision maintenance calibrations
- Performs valve repairs, online level, pressure, temperature, and flow transmitter repairs.
Engagement – Creates an environment for teaching, coaching and learning
- Lead execution of small projects through Pre-FEED, FEED, DED and Construction phases
- Provide technical support for engineering design
- Lead decisions on contracting strategy and selection of contractor(s)
Production/Reliability – Work Execution
- Communicates with the Maintenance Team Captain on any unexpected issue arising during the job execution.
- Initiates return to service hand-off to 24/7 Team and work permit closure
Strategy – Implements maintenance plans
- Provide feedback on work plans to Maintenance Planning department.
Communication – Effective communication to key stakeholders
- Maintains a professional, respectful workplace continually striving for best-in-class Maintenance performance.
- Team Building Attitude. Building a collaborative team relationships including other millwrights as well as engineers, production personnel, parts vendors, and others who assist in assembling and installing industrial equipment.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed and Afterhours Callout Duty Rotation
- 5-8 years of experience within the chemical or refinery sites
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a Maintenance Instrument Tech
- Understanding of Instrumentation theory
- Experience with SIS systems and Controls systems (Honeywell; Delta V and/or DCS)
- Experience with SAP or equivalent data entry software.
- Experience with Flukes to provide accurate test, measurements, and calibration.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed and Afterhours Callout Duty Rotation
Preferred:
- Experience with Beamex Software
- AAS Instrument Technology Degree
