Maintenance Intern (Acme) - AMERICAN FOODS GROUP LLC

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview Location: Acme Street plant, Green Bay, WI
Internship Dates: Full Time for approximately 12 weeks (May - August)
This is a hands-on Maintenance Internship that is heavily engaged in
day-to-day maintenance activities in a Harvest plant manufacturing
millions of pounds of beef on an annual basis. You will work with
experienced employees to learn all aspects Maintenance while developing
managerial based skills. A few learning opportunities include: *
Identify and locate parts/part numbers from machinery or equipment
manuals or parts catalogs (e.g. Cryovac, overhead chains, rail switches,
conveyors, saws, etc.). * Perform basic welding (e.g. primarily tig;
some mig and stick). Identify good and bad welds. * Perform routine
preventative maintenance (e.g. grease bearings, lubricate, check fluid
levels, replace filters, etc.) to ensure machines run smoothly, building
systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of the building
does not deteriorate. * Assemble, install, or repair plumbing (e.g.
threading pipe). * Perform basic forklift maintenance (change tires,
replace bushings, etc.). * Perform basic hydraulics (e.g. change
motors, make hoses, etc.). * Complete necessary paperwork (PM sheets,
work orders, etc.). * Assist in performing maintenance on scale
equipment (e.g. portable, floor, and matrix - hot/cold) in applicable
area(s). * NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
An employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs
of the organization; these duties are considered marginal.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications (Required): * Must have completed
your Junior year at an accredited College or University. * Maintain a
cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. * Have the desire and ability to work
well both independently and cross functionally. * Are willing to engage
others through strong communication and leadership skills. * Are an
inquisitive individual that has a desire to gain knowledge through
experience. * Ability to perform all duties required in both office and
manufacturing environments wearing proper PPE. * Have reliable
