Summary:
Yorktown Systems Group, Inc. is seeking a qualified Maintenance Lead to provide professional services and mission support to the U.S. Army Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) located at Fort Polk, Louisiana. Mission Support services for the JRTC, one of the US Army's Combat Training Centers, entails providing realistic, graduate-level collective training experience at the Brigade Combat Team (BCT) level with the primary objective of training light infantry, airborne, air assault, rangers and other special operations units. Historically, the JRTC has hosted rotational exercises for US Army motorized and mechanized formations, as well as select units from the US Marine Corp, US Navy or US Air Force.
The JRTC typically hosts ten standard rotational exercises each Fiscal Year (FY). Typical standard rotational exercises are designed based on a 14-calendar day training period with 18 calendar days of Live Fires typically starting prior to Force on Force (FOF) and running concurrently during the fourteen (14) training days. The standard training exercise is scripted and typically based on any combination of offense, defense, and stability operations. Standard rotations take place in a generic region with scenarios and Opposing Forces (OPFOR) threats based on the Decisive Action Training Environment (DATE). Rotational Training Unit (RTU) missions conducted during standard rotations are generally in direct alignment to the RTU's standard Mission Essential Task List (METL) and training objectives.
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Perform organizational support level maintenance for tactical vehicles and equipment.
- Develop a maintenance schedule and prioritize repairs to meet mission requirements.
- Perform direct support level maintenance for non-tactical vehicles and equipment.
- Notify the COR and PA when any non-tactical vehicle, trailer, or generator is considered
to be un-economically repairable.
- Shall perform organizational and direct support maintenance for all non-tactical vehicles and/or equipment assigned to the 1st Battalion (Airborne) 509th Infantry.
- Shall perform organizational and direct support maintenance for all non-tactical vehicles and/or equipment assigned to Operations Group.
- Shall perform organizational and direct support maintenance for all non-tactical vehicles and/or equipment assigned to TSC MILES support for rotations.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must possess an Associates Degree.
- Must possess 2 years documented military or civilian experience in supervisory fleet maintenance management for 500+ pieces of commercial and military rolling stock.
- Must possess, at a minimum, mechanical/maintenance experience in government or private sectors commensurate with PWS requirements.
- Mechanical/maintenance experience shall include experience in the following areas: vehicle maintenance; government standards; replacement and disposal programs; hazardous material management; facilities management; and physical security program management.
Desired Qualifications:
- Possess 5 years documented military or civilian experience in supervisory fleet maintenance management for 500+ pieces of commercial and military rolling stock.
- A Battalion Maintenance NCO or Officer (BMO) is desired.
