Maintenance Supervisor - 3rd Shift
Full Time Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor, in cooperation with supervisors, leads and operators in each area, is responsible for the effective execution of Electrical work in the plant & Battle Creek facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Communicate with and collaborate with all departments to ensure that plans are aligned and operations remain fully functional.
Motivate, lead and manage a passionate and diverse personnel group that operates based on a culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
Establish and hold people accountable to team and individual goals and objectives.
Practice safe working habits, ability to follow directions, and work with minimal supervision.
Strong knowledge and understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, belt systems, motors, pumps, and other industrial machine components.
Ability to perform and supervise mechanical work, valve replacement, conveyor bearing and chain replacement, motor/gearbox replacement, lubrication systems.
Must possess the skills/knowledge of an Industrial Electrician to read and comprehend electrical schematics to install, troubleshoot, conduct preventative maintenance and perform repairs to facilities and production equipment to 480 Volts, 3-Phase.
Ability to troubleshoot and re-wire high speed equipment such as AC/DC motors, VFDs, PLCs, PLC I/O modules and servo motors.
Working knowledge of electrical controls systems, safety circuits, and automation components such as inductive proximity sensors, photoeye sensors, and mechanical limit switches.
Experience with boiler systems and ammonia refrigeration a plus.
Knowledge of safety policies and procedures is required (e.g. lock out / tag out, high voltage electrical).
Working knowledge of and the ability to use hand and power tools
Provide individual performance evaluations with primary focus being recognition and identification of improvement/growth opportunities.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
Conducts training and safety training meetings as required
Maintain facilities to meet GMP and SQF standards.
Lead and support continuous development of SOP documentation and use.
Regularly inspects work areas and equipment to ensure OSHA standards are met.
Experience in the food industry a plus.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree or trade skills preferred.
Experience: Industrial Maintenance experience in a leadership role preferred.
Language/Communication: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to lead and communicate with a multi-cultural and multi-lingual personnel team.
Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Inventory software and Manufacturing software, as well as general Email and Internet research capabilities.
Schedule: Willing to work during second or third shifts and weekends. Willing to be flexible with work schedule by working various hours before and after shifts. Willing to schedule and attend meetings during off-shift hours.
