About the Job
The Maintenance and Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance and utility services to support manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Plant Manager, key responsibilities include prioritizing and scheduling maintenance tasks, managing predictive and preventative maintenance programs, troubleshooting plant issues, and ensuring compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) and ISO 9001 standards.
Core Responsibilities:
- Supervise maintenance staff (mechanics and electricians) and manage contractors.
- Develop and execute capital plans within budget, including project reporting.
- Ensure site utility systems (e.g., wastewater treatment, fire protection) meet reliability and environmental standards.
- Provide technical support, especially for Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
- Implement continuous improvement and cost reduction strategies in maintenance.
Requirements:
- Over five years of plant-level experience in maintenance/engineering, ideally in the chemical sector.
- Proficiency in EHS, PSM, SAP, Microsoft Office, and DCS/PLC systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field or equivalent experience.
