Position Overview

The Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance team and coordinate maintenance activities to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime. This role involves hands-on supervision of repair and maintenance tasks across various machinery and equipment while fostering a culture of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, maintain, clean, lubricate, and repair production machinery, including lasers, plasma tables, and machining centers.
• Ensure all equipment is clean, functional, and prepared for production.
• Oversee the troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain fixtures and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure operational continuity.
• Diagnose complex repair issues and supervise the repair or replacement of defective parts.
• Promote and enforce safety standards, ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Manage the collection and disposal of solid and hazardous waste generated at the work site.
• Develop and manage the maintenance budget while tracking maintenance metrics.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of maintenance technician experience.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in utilizing hand-held tools and machinery, both manual and powered.
• Expertise in welding, cutting with gas torches, and troubleshooting machine controls.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to develop and implement maintenance procedures while maintaining proper documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and maneuver 200 lbs without assistance.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of PLC and computer controls, relay ladder logic, and electronic controls.
• Forklift and crane certifications are a plus.
