Industrial Maintenance Manager
Metals USA is seeking an industrial maintenance manager for several plants in Metro-Philadelphia PA including Northeast Philadelphia and Bucks County. Metals USA is a solid, growth oriented, carbon steel (plate, beam, and tube) distribution center servicing the defense, commercial, construction, aerospace, and fabrication industries.
Responsibilities:
* Diagnoses and repairs, services & inspects facility equipment & property to include overhead cranes, production machinery, material handling and facility grounds.
* Reviews work requests to determine problem & resolution, arranges schedules that results in minimum equipment downtime.
* Complies with Metals USA and OSHA safety policies and safe practices to include lock out/ tag out, safety data sheets and hazardous material usage.
* Inspects or tests damaged machines & makes the appropriate repairs & notifies the Management of repair needs & problems that might affect production schedules.
* Performs building and equipment maintenance, repair, and improvements. Performs preventive maintenance on CNC machinery, electrical and hydraulic systems, overhead cranes, and other fabricating equipment.
* Installs, replaces, or changes machine parts, attachments, and new equipment according to production specifications.
* Schedules outside contractors to perform major repairs & monitors the work performed
* Reassembles machines after completion of repair and maintenance work.
* Lubricates or applies adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specified procedures.
* Records production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
* Reads maintenance repair work orders and specifications to determine machine & equipment requiring repair or maintenance.
* Inspects, operates or test machinery/equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
* Plans repair work using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals or schematic diagrams.
* Executes and implements a preventive maintenance program to improve equipment reliability.
* High School/Technical School Graduate
* Must possess a minimum of (5) years as an industrial maintenance supervisor is a manufacturing environment
* Must possess a current driver's license in good standing
* Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and perform repairs
* Ability to read English to read maintenance work orders, schematic drawings/blueprints, and maintenance/safety manuals
* Ability to comprehend electrical-mechanical& hydraulic systems, HVAC, and plumbing systems
* Knowledge of electricity (110, 230 and 460 voltage)
* Experience of operating an overhead crane, forklift, hand tools and common shop machinery
* Demonstrated ability to perform electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs
Certifications/Licenses:
* Valid OSHA Forklift, Overhead Crane, and Aerial Work Platform Certificates
* Current driver's license in good standing
