We are on the lookout for an experienced and dedicated Maintenance Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business by implementing strategies that increase productivity and enable sales growth.
As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for managing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of the company's facilities. Your duties will include maintaining machinery, planning repair activities, and developing maintenance procedures. You will also be tasked with ensuring that all departmental budgets are adhered to and that all safety regulations are observed.
Responsibilities:
- Directing the supervisory staff responsible for the maintenance of the production, packaging, receiving, and shipping equipment.
- Managing the supervisory staff responsible for facilities maintenance, including ground-keeping activities, building repairs, and utilities.
- Establishing and directing planner and scheduler activities.
- Requisitioning tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for operations.
- Inspecting completed work for conformance to standards, blueprints, and specifications.
- Ensuring maintenance schedules and repair estimates conform to assignment estimates.
- Enforcing safety regulations and conformance of company policies.
- Supervising the planning and activities of new equipment installations.
- Organizing and maintaining reports established as critical departmental matrices.
- Developing a dynamic preventive maintenance, work order, and maintenance program.
- Ensuring USDA compliance through completion scheduling and maintenance of PIP work.
- Maintaining equipment and safety records.
- Establishing Personnel Management Agreements at supervisory and team member levels.
- Developing a skills assessment program based on individual strengths.
- Implementing changes in working conditions and equipment usage to increase efficiency.
- Championing and maintaining a root cause analysis program directed at equipment failures.
- Ensuring equipment repair records are maintained in MP2.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in planning maintenance operations.
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.
- Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations.
