Maintenance Material Specialist I - Amentum

The Maintenance job family is responsible for planning, scheduling, and organizing the efficient operation and performance of work assignments. Coordinates with various departments to achieve optimum utilization of operation resources and effectively achieve production improvements through usage of industry standard methodologies. This position will support the Work Execution process through support of planning, directing, and activity coordination of work to accommodate corrective and preventive maintenance and quality documentation for Plant Operations. This is a position that entails performing the day-to-day responsibilities of Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE), assigned nonmanual. Responsibilities include but are not all encompassing of the following: Completing tasks as assigned based on project priority, receipt and issue of M&TE equipment, shipment preparation of M&TE for off-site calibration, assisting walk in customers and providing world class customer service. The role also involves collaborating with different teams across functions to ensure that M&TE requirements are fulfilled in alignment with project specifications. **This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control, and supervision of WTCC.** **MAJOR** **RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS** + Maintain current training, certification and development requirements. + Inventory Management: Keeping track of all measuring and test equipment (M&TE) within the organization, including tools, instrument, gauges, and devices. This involves maintaining accurate records of equipment, including serial numbers, calibration dates, and maintenance history. + Calibration Management: Scheduling and coordinating the calibration of all measuring and test equipment according to established processes and procedures. This includes interfacing with external calibration service providers to ensure timely and accurate calibration of measuring and test equipment (M&TE). + Maintenance and Repair: Coordinating the maintenance and repair of measuring and test equipment (M&TE) as needed. This involves arranging for repairs or replacements and facilitating prompt return to service. + Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation related to measuring and test equipment (M&TE), including calibration certificates, maintenance records, and equipment manuals. This includes ensuring compliance with relevant quality standards and regulations. + Compliance and Audit: Ensuring compliance with relevant project requirements. Including participating in internal and external audits, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining documentation to demonstrate compliance. + Responsible for initiating the procurement process for measuring and test equipment (M&TE) + Maintains assigned tracking reports, metrics and records. + Adhere to a published maintenance cataloging standard. + Initiation of LDDR's (Loss, Damage, Destruction Report) when required. + Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment + This job description is not intended to include every duty, task or instruction for which an employee is responsible. Other tasks may be assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisors. **REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS** **Education/Experience:** Bachelor's degree business, project management, engineering, construction management, or economics and 4 years' experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), or similar Inventory Management Systems. Possess the ability to perform vital and detailed material control functions. Knowledge of a variety of operating activities such as purchasing, requisitioning, expediting, materials control. _OR_ Associates degree business, project management, engineering, construction management, or economics and 6 years' experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), or similar Inventory Management Systems. Possess the ability to perform vital and detailed material control functions. Knowledge of a variety of operating activities such as purchasing, requisitioning, expediting, materials control. _OR_ High School Diploma/GED and 8 years' experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), or similar Inventory Management Systems. Knowledge of a variety of operating activities such as purchasing, requisitioning, expediting, materials control. **Preferred** **:** Material Management, M&TE and Procurement experience in the DOE / ISMS / VPP / Commercial Nuclear environment. **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS** **(EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual-** Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity. **COMPENSATION & BENEFITS** HIRING SALARY RANGE: $87,011.43 - $133,126.59 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
