Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Bloomfield, CT. The Maintenance Mechanic performs all operations to ensure continual operation of equipment and facility with a strong emphasis on CNC service maintenance.
This is a first shift position. Hours are 6:00 AM - 3:30PM, this includes one hour of mandatory overtime at the end of shift for a required 45 hour week. OT pay is 1.5x the hourly rate for all hours in excess of 40 in a week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Acts as a troubleshooter and repairs equipment and building utilities. Resolves problems or refers problems to appropriate individual.
- Performs preventive maintenance with work orders on manual and automated machinery, including CNC lathes, millers, saws, grinding and honing equipment.
- Responds to emergency breakdowns of equipment to keep production loss to a minimum.
- Inspects equipment to evaluate conditions which could lead to production breakdowns or unsafe conditions. Reports problems to supervision.
- Trains mechanics in operations and processes.
- Maintains clean and safe work environment. Follows safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Reports safety incidents to supervisor.
- Makes recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contributes to 5 S program in work area.
- Provides a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contributes to positive teamwork environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Participates in training/learning other positions. Accomplishes related results as needed.
Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- 6-8 years of manufacturing experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Basic CNC programming
- Basic mathematics
- Blueprint reading
- Calibrating instruments
- Ability to work overtime and weekends to meet customer needs
