Maintenance Mechanic, 2nd shift - Voyant Beauty

Position Overview:

Our New Albany, Ohio Plant is currently seeking qualified Equipment Maintenance Technicians to assure that all production machinery and equipment can maintain a continuous stable production to meet customer production schedules and quality requirements through preventive maintenance and repair.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform building, equipment and electrical troubleshooting and repairs in response to equipment errors or failures during production
• Test all repairs and installations for functionality
• Implement Preventative Maintenance Measures
• Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
• Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol
• Perform other maintenance duties as requested
• Mechanical- troubleshooting/preventative maintenance with industrial processing, packaging, peripheral plant equipment.
• Machining/fabrication/welding-ability to fabricate small machine parts, guards, etc
• Pneumatic-cylinders/valves/accumulators/compressor
• Hydraulic- cylinders/valves/accumulators/etc

Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of industrial mechanics, including gears, belts, bearings, couplings, and drive lines
• Understanding of pneumatic, and hydraulic cylinders, valves, and solenoids
• Knowledge of basic welding, and fabrication
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
• Ability to perform tasks under varying conditions (i.e. cold or hot, humid conditions, noise)
• Graduates of industrial, and/or electrical technology programs preferred
• Experience in the meat or dairy manufacturing industry preferred
• Experience with boiler systems and PLC Motor Control preferred
