Title: Maintenance Mechanic A
Location: City of Industry, CA
Job-Type: FTE/Permanent
Shifts Available and Hours: Monday-Friday with availability on:
1st 6:30am - 3:00pm
2nd 2:30pm - 11:00pm
3rd 10:30pm -7:00am
Required Education/Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Industrial Maintenance
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with fluency in English.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
• Experience in operating mobile equipment
• Technical degree (preferred but not required)
• Intermediate knowledge of drives and PLCs, with the ability to follow ladder logic for troubleshooting
• Proficiency with Digital Multimeter (DMM) for fuse and motor checks, as well as amp probes
• Solid understanding of breakers, fuses, and their application in various systems
• Strong mechanical reasoning and problem-solving abilities
• Familiarity with temperature controllers and thermocouples
• Ability to identify and resolve motor overload conditions.
Job Responsibilities:
• Install, align, and maintain couplings for optimal performance
• Set up and replace motors, pneumatic systems, proximity sensors, limit switches, and power supplies
• Configure and install drives, including drive parameter setup
• Perform visual inspections and diagnostic tests to identify equipment functionality issues
• Repair or replace components to restore operational efficiency
• Service and replace bearings, sprockets, bushings, chains, conveyors, gearboxes, and motors
• Proactively suggest equipment redesigns to prevent repeated failures
• Lead the installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair broken cables as necessary
• Maintain and repair pumps, cylinders, valves, gearboxes, and motors
• Follow technical schematics to effectively troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Collaborate closely with Electromechanical Engineers to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
