We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Permanent Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This is an opportunity to leverage your technical skills, expand your career, and make a significant impact in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes. This role requires a hands-on approach, a high level of initiative, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.
2. Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
3. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
4. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
5. Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
6. Use TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and SAP knowledge to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
7. Operate a variety of equipment including forklifts, scaffolds, manlifts, and ladders.
8. Participate in the application of Continuous Improvement tools to enhance the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes.
9. Work closely with a team to ensure the overall success of the manufacturing operation.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED is required.
2. 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with TPM and SAP.
4. Ability to read and understand manuals, schematics, and drawings.
5. Experience operating forklifts, scaffolds, manlifts, and ladders.
6. Able to learn and apply Continuous Improvement tools.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
8. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Must be able to handle a high-pressure environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
11. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.
12. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work on your feet for extended periods.
