About the Job
Under the supervision of the Plant Maintenance Director or Administrator, the Maintenance Mechanic performs general physical plant...Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent. Certificate in (or demonstrated proficiency) with a specialty area such as HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, plastering, painting and equipment and systems maintenance. Preferred EPA Certification for HVAC specialty.
Three years’ experience with demonstrated proficiency in physical plant maintenance. Valid Georgia driver’s license.
The ability to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English. Experience in a retirement community preferred. Current CPR and/or First Aid will be required.
Ability to lift to fifty pounds; to bend, stoop and twist.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time; climb ladders; work in cramped spaces.

Additional Information
This position will generally work 40 hours per week; however, the position requires a willingness and flexibility in working hours when necessary to fulfill job responsibilities including occasional evening or weekend work. The employee is subject to personnel policies and procedures prescribed for all employees.
