Position Summary:
The Mechanic I is responsible for minor and preventative maintenance of all mechanical equipment and their associated systems at Carle facilities as well as performing and coordinating employee moves,assembly and repair of office furniture and installation of signs, shelving, etc. Assist Facilities Leadership, Maintenance Mechanics II, III, and IV as directed.
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Be able to read, write and follow instructions SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Be able to complete entry level computer skills, ability to follow Carle behavior standards.
Essential Functions:
+ Completes paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
+ Performs janitorial duties as they relate to facilities.
+ Conducts entry level environmental maintenance checks.
+ Moves furniture, equipment and records to and from warehouses.
+ Performs assigned preventative maintenance duties including fire extinguisher inspections and emergency lighting.
+ Change HVAC air filters.
+ Clean supply and return vents.
+ Replace stained and dirty ceiling tiles.
+ Clean sprinkler heads.
