About the Job
Basic Purpose
The Maintenance Mechanical Technician installs and maintains facility equipment and machinery in order to maintain required production levels under minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Programs Variable Frequency Drives or Servo motor drives.
- Follows all Company safety rules and regulations including LOTO and wears all required PPE.
- Troubleshoots PLC programs and robotics.
- Reads and understands maintenance work orders.
- Accurately performs daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly preventative maintenance on plant equipment and machinery as required per established PM programs and completes required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Mentors and/or trains existing and/or new maintenance employees.
- Relieves other employees in instances of breaks, absenteeism, vacation, or other production requirements.
- Maintains good housekeeping and follows established safety protocols.
- Able to work in a team environment to include relieving other employees in instances of breaks, absenteeism, vacation or other production requirements.
- Performs any other duties as assigned or directed by Team Leader / Supervisor.

- Maintains awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; reports all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Certification or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical field.
- 4 years’ prior maintenance experience required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to stand and/or walk, bend, stoop or crouch for at least an 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment, or parts and work near moving mechanical parts.
- Ability to accurately use, read, and understand various precision instruments including, but not limited to: meters, meggers, and oscilloscopes.
- Knowledge of current OSHA, NEC, and ANSI standards.
- Working knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives.
- Must be computer literate, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment with accuracy and integrity.
- Able to work in a team environment and interface with a diverse workforce.
