Position Summary:The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the communication of production schedules to operations. This role will be the back-up supervisor during times of absence for either the Production Supervisor or Maintenance Supervisor. The role will be the system administrator for incident reports for safety and equipment downtime incidents. Ensuring safe and stable operations by participating/leading Gemba walks, performing root cause analysis, and technical project support. The Maintenance Planner will work closely with all levels of the organization including plant and corporate personnel. The role will also work closely with vendors and customers as needed.Responsibilities:Production SchedulingCommunicate and manage production activities based on customer orders to operations groupCoordinate with Supervisor to develop production plan and determine workflow requirementsCoordinate with Supply Chain Assistant to manage inventory levels and maintain production schedules.Act as back-up to Shipping Coordinator during Supply Chain Assistant's time offTrainingBe site lead for KAIU learning systemMaintain courses and schedulesTrain new site staff on equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policiesProduction SupportServe as the primary support for troubleshooting resin and resin drying processes.Provide technical assistance to team members in their assigned job dutiesSupport safe and stable operations of the facilityAct as the Incident Investigation System Administrator for safety incidents (Severe Incident or Low Potential Incidents/Near Misses) and equipment reliability incidents (EIRs)Support the root cause analysis process for production issues or incident reports and coordinate corrective actions.Participate and lead Gemba walks to identify issues in: safety, equipment, 5S, housekeeping, etc.Coordinate the implementation and monitoring of safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.Coordinate and support small Management of Changes (MOCs) and provide capital project support to Technical StaffSupport Maintenance Technology Exchange initiatives for ensuring critical spares are documented and availableMaintenance SchedulingParticipate in Maintenance scheduling meeting to provide input from operationsSupport TAR scheduling and participate in TAR preparation meetingsSupervisor Back-upBack-up the Production Supervisor and/or Maintenance supervisor during their time off. Qualifications:High School degree or equivalent required Minimum of 5 years of Chemical industry experience in Production, Maintenance, and/or OperationsExperience troubleshooting equipmentProficient in: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Share Point, PowerPointSAP experience, preferred Outstanding verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, creative thinking, consulting, and analytical skills.Ability to prioritize work to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.Excellent problem-solving/decision-making skills.Ability to multi-taskCandidates must have a valid driver's license.
