Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Maintenance Scheduler/Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling and planning all maintenance activities to ensure the efficient and timely execution of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. This role involves coordinating with the maintenance team, tracking resources, maintaining records, and minimizing equipment downtime while ensuring safety and compliance with company standards.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain the maintenance schedule for all equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and assign tasks based on urgency, availability of materials, and workforce capacity.
- Create detailed work plans for maintenance activities, including time estimates, labor requirements, materials, and equipment.
- Track and ensure the availability of necessary spare parts, tools, and materials for planned work.
- Monitor and adjust schedules in response to unforeseen issues such as breakdowns or staffing changes.
- Review completed work orders to ensure quality and accuracy and provide feedback to improve future planning.
- Maintain records of equipment, maintenance history, and completed tasks in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Analyze equipment reliability data and identify opportunities for preventive maintenance and process improvements.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors for outsourced maintenance tasks, ensuring they meet project timelines and quality standards.
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Export Control Requirement:

Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Planner, Scheduler, or similar role in a manufacturing, industrial, or facility setting.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS) and asset management practices.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance best practices and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a facility or plant maintenance environment.
- Certifications in maintenance planning, reliability engineering, or related disciplines.
- Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams and external contractors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend improvements.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $94,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
