The Plumber is responsible for assembling, installing and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water and drainage systems; as well as study building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspects structures to identify obstructions and prevent weakening during pipe installation.
- Locates and marks pipe positions and passage holes; cuts walls and floors to accommodate pipes and fittings.
- Bends, cuts, and threads pipes; assembles and installs valves, fittings, and pipes (metal and nonmetal).
- Joins pipes using screws, bolts, solder, plastic solvent, and caulking; tests for leaks using gauges.
- Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures (sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposals, dishwashers, etc.).
- Welds holding fixtures to steel structural members.
- Fills pipe system with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether system is leaking.
- Properly logs electronic work orders in HotSOS.
- Maintains a clean, safe work area; works extended hours as needed.
- Must represent CFI in a professional manner through appearance, dress and professional behavior at all times, as dictated in the Team Member’s Handbook.
- Must work diligently to gain knowledge and experience to execute their role to its full potential.
- Other duties as assigned by Corporate Facilities leadership.

- Minimum of five years experience and license preferred.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal and able to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals as well as write routine reports and correspondence.
- Effective communication with guests, customers, and team members.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of two-digit numbers using American money, weight, volume, and distance units.
- Problem-solving skills for practical situations with limited standardization.
- Valid driver's license required, with eligibility for company vehicle insurance.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, tasting, smelling and occasional sitting.
- Frequent lifting and/or moving of 100 pounds or more.
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Regular exposure to extreme heat, cold, vibration and loud noise.
- Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and risk of radiation.
