• Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) concepts, level of repair analysis (LORA), level of maintenance analysis (LOMA) and readiness-based sparing (RBS) models.

Desired Skills

• Working knowledge of Coast Guard tools and databases: CG-22 form and process, Fleet Logistics System (FLS), Naval & Electronics Supply Support System (NESSS), Electronic Asset Logbook (EAL), CG-LIMS STIP, SFLC Central, MPC Electronic Routing tools, and CG-LIMS.
• Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) certification or equivalent.
• Background in technology and/or engineering.

Job Duties

• Conduct data calls to the fleet to acquire knowledge of system usage and operation.
• Research technical and supply data for various systems in icebreaker, buoy, and construction tender (IBCT) assets.
• Provide technical recommendations for technical publication updates.
• Review drawings for accuracy; provide technical recommendations for drawing updates.
• Perform ship visits to obtain or validate technical information for inclusion in MPCs.
• Format technical information to align with the approved process and develop clear procedures to conduct required maintenance.
• Modify graphics and tables to meet approval criteria.
• Use information technology systems and databases to develop and route work products for maintenance development processes.
