McConway & Torley, LLC, an Arcosa company, is a leading manufacturer of railcar coupling devices in North America. McConway & Torley is currently searching for Maintenance and Reliability Engineer to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. In this position you will assist with equipment modifications to support improved effectiveness. You will work to proactively avoid failures in our production systems, and assess safety risks associated with any equipment failure.
What you will do:
- Compare pieces of equipment, individual mechanical components and manufacturing processes to determine which combination of parts creates the most reliable and fail-safe system
- Reliability engineers also assess the safety risks associated with equipment failure
- Create maintenance schedules and analyze statistical data that help predict when and how failures might occur
- Develop the inspection criteria and functionality tests businesses use to monitor equipment health
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required, a discipline in Mechanical Engineering or a related area is strongly preferred
- At least 5 years of related Maintenance or Reliability Engineering, preferably in an industrial manufacturing setting is required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence with cross- functional teams without direct authority
- Equivalent Combination of Education and experience may be considered
