Maintenance Superintendent – Heavy Industry
Our client is looking for a Maintenance Superintendent for their Heavy Industry plant. This role will be responsible for creating a strategic vision/plan for Maintenance.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of Maintenance or Engineering Leadership exp. in Heavy Industry operation, with Safety 1st Focus.
- Ability to create, implement & execute strategic vision/plan for Maintenance.
- Change management & CI experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
- Experience with TPM.
- BS degree in engineering, technical, or business-related field.
- Ability to develop, mentor & coach team to facilitate career growth.
- Ability to build High Performing Teams
- Excellent analysis, troubleshooting & problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify & improve system issues.
- Experience working with budgets & capital plans.
- Union experience (preferred)
- CMRP certification (preferred).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Lead/manage strategic business plan deployment in collaboration with all departments at the location.
- Manage a comprehensive predictive & preventative maintenance program while sustainably minimizing repair & maintenance costs.
- These goals need to be accomplished while building a safe and effective organization through sustained employee engagement at all levels of the organization
- Work as a business partner with other managers in the plant, within the BU & with greater company to drive results beyond their department.
- Establish & communicate strategic vision that establishes a clear direction for the organization while providing tools necessary for communication with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Develop strategic maintenance direction for the 3 year planning period.
- Significant participation in prep of operational budgets, capital plans, appropriation requests & project follow-up
- Continually improving effectiveness of people, processes & facilities of the team.
- Ensure safe, efficient, cost-effective & reliable maintenance execution that meets changing volume requirements & production schedules.
- Manage relationship with union committee; maintain compliance with collective bargaining agreement.
