What you’ll do:
- Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, electricians, machinists, millwrights, and machine operators. Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
- Safety and Efficiency: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies. Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Respond to breakdowns promptly, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment malfunctions, and perform timely repairs to minimize production interruptions.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document standard work and best practices, maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, and prepare reports on maintenance performance, including downtime, repair costs, and equipment reliability.
- Teamwork and Process Improvement: Work in partnership with production and management team members to identify and address equipment issues and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of technological advancements and industry trends in maintenance practices.
What you need:
Associate degree from a technical trade school or a High School diploma or GED and
5 years or more years of relevant maintenance experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance supervision within a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and machine operating equipment and systems.
Ability to operate in a lean manufacturing environment utilizing 5S and other continuous improvement tools.
Extensive experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and related programming software.
Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to recognize the layout and specifications of electrical systems.
Identify components, wiring configurations, and connections as depicted in technical drawings.
Translate complex technical information into actionable tasks for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
