What You'll Do
- Collaborate with production personnel and management to seek most efficient maintenance solutions
- Document maintenance activities using SAP
- Communicate consistently changes, additions, completion dates and times, and cost and time estimates related to maintenance activities to management
- Delegate and supervise multiple employees and contractors to accomplish maintenance needs as well as hands-on involvement when the need arises
- Establish strategies to efficiently and cost effectively maintain or increase production in conjunction with management and division priorities
- Communicate equipment and facility needs to the Ops Manager as needed
- Manage costs and obtain management approval for higher cost items
What You'll Need
- Minimum 10 years of related facility and heavy equipment maintenance experience – with heavy emphasis and experience with fluid hydraulics and conveyance equipment
- Minimum 5 years of managing a maintenance department of 5 or more employees
- Strong computer skills required (good knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Must be able to read and understand Hydraulic & Electrical Schematics, combustion engine repair, PM, and trouble shoot electrical and hydraulic problems
- Good interpersonal and communication skills are required
- Displays a positive, can-do attitude; maintains composure when faced with difficult situations
- Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment, with strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and find root causes for issues
- Promotes collaboration and working as a member of a team
- Hands on maintenance, diagnostics, and repair abilities
- Experience maintaining material handlers, excavators, tractor trailers, and hydraulic equipment
Your Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
