Maintenance Supervisor - Alaris Health at Hamilton Park

Alaris Health at Hamilton Par, a 260 bed-skilled nursing Center in Jersey City, New Jersey, seeks a maintenance supervisor to be responsible for the maintenance operation of the Center and performing equipment repairs and maintenance. Additional responsibilities include:

• completing corrective and preventative maintenance of the grounds and building in a timely manner
• ensuring the building is in good repair and free of electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems hazards
• maintaining the fire alarm and emergency generator system in good working order, performing weekly tests on the fire alarm and emergency generator systems and keeping records of tests results
• orienting and instructing all maintenance personnel and recruiting and interviewing new hires
• reviewing and evaluating personnel’s work performance and designating work assignments and duty schedules
• and above all, ensuring that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere which recognizes the individual’s needs and rights

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school degree or equivalent and basic training in electrical, plumbing, heating and HVAC systems
• Ability to perform essential job functions
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Able to work well independently
• Ability to remain within parameters of the budget
• Ability to positively interact with everyone from residents to government agencies and the general public
