Job Description
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the maintenance department to ensure an efficient, high quality, cost effective operating facility.
Responsibilities include:
- Management of a preventative maintenance program and parts inventory
- Successful management of capital projects
- Responding to equipment failures in a timely manner
- Working with the management team on initiatives to reduce cost and improve quality
- Developing skills of assigned staff
- Proactively make recommendations and follow through on improving overall process systems.
Essential Functions:
- Coordinate functions, assignments and projects of shift staff.
- Communication and documentation of shift activities with other shift Leads and Production to ensure resolution and/or follow through. (ie: Passdown, Shift and Departmental Meetings.)
- Audit, identify and implement process improvements.
- Execute preventative maintenance plans.
- Perform functions of a maintenance mechanic
- Support departmental and corporate standards (ie: LQMS, GMP, Safety)
- Train and develop maintenance staff
- Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Qualifications:
Experience-Education (Required):
- 3+ years' experience in Maintenance operations.
- 2 plus years' experience in a supervisory role leading a team of maintenance personnel preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule when dictated by business needs.
Competencies-Skills (Required):
- This individual should have good organizational skills, be detail oriented, self-motivated, possess good leadership and team building skills to function as a team member and leader. This individual will possess three (3) plus years' experience in a supervisory role leading a team of twelve (12) plus personnel.
- Knowledge of the OSHA PSM and EPA RMP programs a plus. Knowledge of Ammonia Refrigeration, Boilers, Building structure and Waste Treatment plant systems a plus.
Experience-Education (Preferred):
- B.S. degree in an Engineering or Engineering Technology field from an ABET accredited college or university. A.S. degree electronic technology.
Competencies-Skills (Preferred):
- This individual should have good organizational skills, be detail oriented, self-motivated, possess good leadership and team building skills to function as a team member and leader. CMMS experience and Microsoft Office skills.
The target salary for this position is dependent upon experience and is approximately $80,000-$100,000.
