Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the maintenance department to ensure an efficient, high quality, cost effective operating facility.

Responsibilities include:

• Management of a preventative maintenance program and parts inventory
• Successful management of capital projects
• Responding to equipment failures in a timely manner
• Working with the management team on initiatives to reduce cost and improve quality
• Developing skills of assigned staff
• Proactively make recommendations and follow through on improving overall process systems.

Essential Functions:

• Coordinate functions, assignments and projects of shift staff.
  
• Communication and documentation of shift activities with other shift Leads and Production to ensure resolution and/or follow through. (ie: Passdown, Shift and Departmental Meetings.)
  
• Audit, identify and implement process improvements.
  
• Execute preventative maintenance plans.
  
• Perform functions of a maintenance mechanic
  
• Support departmental and corporate standards (ie: LQMS, GMP, Safety)
  
• Train and develop maintenance staff
  
• Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance
  

Qualifications:

Experience-Education (Required):

• 3+ years' experience in Maintenance operations.
  
• 2 plus years' experience in a supervisory role leading a team of maintenance personnel preferred.
  
• Ability to work a flexible schedule when dictated by business needs.
  

Competencies-Skills (Required):

• This individual should have good organizational skills, be detail oriented, self-motivated, possess good leadership and team building skills to function as a team member and leader. This individual will possess three (3) plus years' experience in a supervisory role leading a team of twelve (12) plus personnel.
  
• Knowledge of the OSHA PSM and EPA RMP programs a plus. Knowledge of Ammonia Refrigeration, Boilers, Building structure and Waste Treatment plant systems a plus.
  

Experience-Education (Preferred):

• B.S. degree in an Engineering or Engineering Technology field from an ABET accredited college or university. A.S. degree electronic technology.
  

Competencies-Skills (Preferred):

• This individual should have good organizational skills, be detail oriented, self-motivated, possess good leadership and team building skills to function as a team member and leader. CMMS experience and Microsoft Office skills.

The target salary for this position is dependent upon experience and is approximately $80,000-$100,000.
