Vitro Architectural Glass is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisior at its Meadville, PA location. This position will direct maintenance personnel in a manner that ensures optimum performance
and reliability of glass production equipment consistent with production requirements, safety goals, quality standards and policy guidelines.
Responsibilities:The incumbent directs and supervises activities in the Maintenance department and is responsible for the safe and efficient utilization of Maintenance Department manpower and machinery. The incumbent has complete plant Maintenance responsibility in the absence of higher Maintenance authority. The incumbent will be assigned to direct the efforts of maintenance personnel at the direction of the Manager, Maintenance and Engineering. The incumbent must become familiar with plant equipment and production methods in order to detect abnormal conditions that exist and then schedule work accordingly. Routine inspections of plant and maintenance areas are required to check employee and equipment utilization. The incumbent will make recommendations for changes and incorporate new methods and techniques to achieve plant objectives.
The incumbent will oversee Maintenance planner to process job order requests and to plan time, labor, and cost estimates required for job completion. The incumbent will coordinate activities with production personnel in the event of emergency and render assistance, implement control, and repair equipment as needed.
The incumbent ensures that all subordinates adhere to plant safety, housekeeping and environmental standards. The incumbent will support the implementation of and adherence to all pillars of the Vitro Excellence Model. The Maintenance Supervisor will correct unsafe acts and conditions immediately and administers disciplinary action as necessary.
This position requires that the individual train, direct, and supervise production and/or maintenance employees in safety, health and environmental control procedures and policies and in the proper and safe handling of hazardous/toxic materials and waste.
Qualifications:Strong Problem-Solving Skills
High School Diploma is required and five to ten years of Maintenance experience.
Proven ability to plan, organize, and effectively lead and manage people in a fast paced operation
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including Outlook,Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
