The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible to provides leadership and direction to the maintenance department. The Maintenance supervisor coordinate the installation, repair and maintenance of facilities and machinery, directs and organizes all tasks related to maintenance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assures long-term capability and expedient repair of all building equipment, tooling, and machinery.
- Developing and implementing a Preventative Maintenance program for all production equipment, molds, and support equipment. Documenting completion of Preventative Maintenance work and providing written reports to management
- Perform mold repairs as necessary.
- Immediately responding and correcting all equipment problems that are adversely affecting quality, scheduling or cost
- Developing and maintaining a list of perishable tooling that is required for all production and support equipment.
- Tracking perishable tooling inventory and initiating ordering additional material when appropriate
- Continuous improvement with regards to safety, production, quality, and scheduling
- Assisting in the installation of production and support equipment
- Consistently following IATF quality and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental standards
- Abide by all company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and safety, Quality and Environmental
- Systems, Human resources policies, and Employee Handbook
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards and legislation including Environmental Legislation, for Industrial
- Establishments, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Understand and be compliant with all State and Provincial laws as it relates to Harassment and Violence in the workplace.
- Manage MRO and scheduling PM for the Maintenance Technicians
- Help with the Engineering Manager tasks.
- Filling in when the Engineering Manager is out of the office.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- College diploma, trades school diploma or University degree in a related skilled trade
- Certified welder
- 5 years' experience in industrial maintenance and tool repair
- Excellent English Communication Skills (oral and written)
- Knowledge in computer software for windows
- Knowledge in computer aided drafting software AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skill
- Critical thinker, attention to details and problem solving skills
- 5-7 years in a similar role
- Advanced writing, oral communication, and technical presentation skills.
Physical Requirements:
Due to business necessity, physical requirements for this job must be met. All candidates MUST demonstrate:
- The ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- The ability to bend, stoop or reach with arms, climb or balance; kneel, crouch
- The ability to wear required PPE
- Constant Standing and repetitive arm/wrist movements with occasional bending
- Constant communication with employees, peers, management
- Possible use of computer and dispatch radio
- Overtime as required.
