About the Job
Thompson First Group is currently seeking a qualified Industrial Maintenance Supervisor for a local client in Reading, PA. Candidates who have a background working in maintenance leadership position within a manufacturing setting are encouraged to apply.
Shift:
- 4pm-12am Monday-Friday
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, and testing equipment.
- Triage and prioritize work orders to ensure repair orders are assigned to technicians fairly and repairs made timely so equipment, fixtures, systems, conveyors, and other equipment at facility run effectively.
- Coordinate the inventory and purchasing of parts and equipment as needed.
- Train maintenance staff to modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with machinery or equipment operation and partner with maintenance staff and supervisors to resolve issues.
- Be responsible for executing all required SQF/HACCP/Quality policies and properly fill out the accompanying documentation.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives in order to increase platform performance.
- Keep track of timecards and work schedules for all maintenance personnel and payroll related inquiries.
- Implement/maintain a documentation system for maintenance issues and verify that all documentation is filled out properly and completely.
- Perform disciplinary procedures as needed.
Desired Skills
- Prior management and/or supervisory experience of at least 3 years. (Mandatory)
- Prior knowledge and experience with electrical systems, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, welding, and/or machinery repair of at least 3 years. (Mandatory)
- Knowledge and experience in a dairy manufacturing environment, food manufacturing, or beverage manufacturing environment. (Preferred)
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Maintain a good track records of punctuality and reliability.
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations such as machinery breakdowns, equipment emergencies, and/or untimely scheduling issues.
- Strong Work Ethic
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED with a Technical or Vocational School Diploma in Industrial Maintenance (Mandatory)
- Associate degree or higher in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Maintenance. (Preferred)
- Must be able to lift >57.5 lbs as required by the position
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including: standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces, and manipulation of digits and limbs bilaterally.
- Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms.
