Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Position Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of team members who repair and maintain the facility, equipment, and machinery. This role ensures effective maintenance operations through systems development, cost control, technical training, project management, and safety and environmental compliance. This position supports the Maintenance and Operations Department to achieve operational efficiency and team excellence.
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of team members who repair and maintain the facility, equipment, and machinery. This role ensures effective maintenance operations through systems development, cost control, technical training, project management, and safety and environmental compliance. This position supports the Maintenance and Operations Department to achieve operational efficiency and team excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and guide mechanics in resolving malfunctions and breakdowns.
- Collaborate with the operations team to promote a teamwork approach, leveraging skills and resources across departments.
- Set project priorities and provide direction to maintenance staff, monitoring performance and conducting audits to ensure high-quality work and goal alignment.
- Lead the team by setting performance expectations, offering feedback, and following the Performance Management System.
- Manage the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) process from start to finish, including root cause analysis and solution implementation.
- Work with improvement teams to evaluate and execute reliability improvements through adjustments to procedures, maintenance practices, and equipment upgrades.
- Develop and communicate area-specific procedures that support maintenance strategies.
- Utilize preventive and predictive maintenance techniques to minimize equipment breakdowns.
- Offer electrical and mechanical troubleshooting leadership; handle electrical work ranging from 110V to 480V circuits.
