Inova Staffing is looking for a Maintenance Tech for our client who is a steel bar processing plant in Wickliffe, Ohio, committed to producing high-quality steel products. We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to help keep the equipment running smoothly and efficiently, ensuring the production process stays on track.
Job Description:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery and equipment essential for steel bar processing. Your expertise in mechanical and electrical systems will be critical to minimizing downtime and ensuring operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment, including grinders, binders, conveyors, and other processing tools.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and identify necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and ensuring machinery operates within safety standards.
Document all repairs, adjustments, and maintenance performed.
Assist in the installation of new machinery or modifications to existing equipment.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely repair of equipment to meet production goals.
Keep maintenance tools and workspaces organized and clean.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
2+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system knowledge.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Basic welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to [70 lbs] and standing for extended periods.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
Availability for on-call or overtime work as needed.
