About the Job
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a per diem Maintenance Technician. This position provides building maintenance in support of the Dumfries and Fairfax Family Health Centers.
The primary responsibilities will include:
- Provides facility maintenance and repairs.
- Coordinates and performs maintenance and minor renovations.
- Ensures building safety at all times.
- Handles repairs, cleaning, and other general upkeep for the building.
- General tasks include, but not limited to, changing light bulbs, putting together appliances, fixing leaky sinks and toilets, and at times, rewiring electrical units.
- Provides oversight to outside contractors performing any type of work in the facility not associated with medical equipment.
- Maintains basic proficiency in the use of the software system that controls the magnetic door locks in the clinic and be able to perform basic trouble-shooting related to the timing of automatic locking and unlocking of clinic doors. Contact vendor expert help desk support as needed for magnetic door locking troubleshooting.
- Maintains basic proficiency in the use of the software system that controls the recording and playback of our clinic security cameras. Contact vendor expert help desk support as needed for magnetic door locking troubleshooting.
- Assists with other duties as needed and assigned.
The job qualifications for this position are as follows:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One year related experience.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Mail.
- Strong commitment to customer service

- Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage a large workload within tight deadlines
- Ability to adapt to change
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
