Inova Staffing is looking for a Entry Level Maintenance Tech for one of our clients in Grand River, Oh.
$17-$25, based off of experience
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and or facility equipment and machinery according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes. The position will be provided direction and tasks. This position will be involved in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting for all areas of the business.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and facility equipment
Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facility
Perform mechanic related skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, line drawings, and work orders to perform required maintenance and services
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
Using lathes, mills, and bending equipment for the making of tooling and fixtures.
Perform a variety of welding techniques with the use of mig, tig, plasma cutter, and acetylene. This includes the functions of metal working, grinding, and buffing
Preferred ability to read programmable logic control (PLC) (example Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Koyo, and DirectLogic)
Work and troubleshoot electrical installations
Inspect electrical components such as transformers and circuit breakers
Follow state and local building regulations
Comply with all Safety Regulations
Perform other tasks as assigned
While performing the duties of this job, employees may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanicals parts and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment can also be loud at times therefore proper PPE is provided.
Technical or associated Degree in applicable field preferred.
2 plus years manufacturing maintenance
Ability to read and write English.
Hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, industrial, and electrical skills.
Basic computer operation skills, familiarity with internet-based program navigation and ability to generate and interpret computer data.
· Ability to lift objects up to 70 lbs
· Ability to climb ladders, work on elevated platforms, work on areas up to 35 feet in the air and tolerate working in temperature (hot or cold).
· Ability to operate a forklift, lifting equipment, multiple power tools, and work with pressurized fluids and gases.
· Willingness to learn mils, lathes, benders, metal cutting equipment, grinders, and various welding equipment.
· Strong attention to detail and execution
· Interpersonal skills that support teamwork and work force continuity.
· Ability to read, interpret, and understand drawing schematics to develop procedures, validate work activity, and ensure that risks are identified and mitigated
· Walking/carrying (80% of the day), lifting / moving (20% of the day)
· Ability to work weekends (as scheduled)
