POSITION PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Performs a variety of working level, technical, and skilled duties as needed to assure the effective and efficient operation of process, packaging, shipping, equipment and machinery.

The employee may be required to left and/or move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Generally performs in an open manufacturing facility and participates in the maintenance and adjusting of equipment. Tasks include: walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, climbing and lifting. Normal eye, hand, and finger dexterity are required. Some exposure to high voltage, pneumatic, hydraulic, stored pressure systems will exist. Exposure to mechanical pinch points will exist
Performs a variety of working level, technical, and skilled duties as needed to assure the effective and efficient operation of process, packaging, shipping, equipment and machinery.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES:
- Executes skilled duties to support process, packaging, and plant equipment, ensuring their optimal functioning. Offers prompt and professional assistance to equipment operators as needed.
- Monitors equipment operations by thoroughly studying equipment manuals and specifications, acquiring the necessary knowledge to assist production personnel during the setup process.
- Provides training to equipment operators on basic and routine procedures for making adjustments and tuning equipment to achieve optimum performance.
- Performs any additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of specialized training through recognized apprenticeships, professionally sponsored workshops, or vocational training programs.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in a related field.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to avoid and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing with operators, technicians, vendors and management.
- Works under the general guidance and direction of the Plant Maintenance Manager.
- Ability to work long hours, rotating shifts, weekends and/or on call.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without aid of equipment.
- Forklift certified.
