About the Job
Role
As a Maintenance Technician (also known as Equipment Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician), your role will involve starting up production, maintaining equipment, and establishing a safety-first mindset. You will be responsible for inspecting scrap material, managing scrap sorting equipment, and performing electrical and technical work on plant equipment. You will also inspect and repair diesel engines, perform work on motors, wiring, and control cabinets, and drive mobile equipment.

- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3-4 years of previous work experience in industrial maintenance.
- Experience with electrical, mechanic, pneumatic, and diesel engine.
- Proficient in computer usage and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to read and understand operations and parts manuals.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and drive mobile equipment.
- Proven ability to function with minimal supervision.
- Experience with secondary Aluminum & scrap sorting (a plus but not required).
- Working knowledge of aluminum process.
- Proficiency in PLC Troubleshooting, Creating Preventive Maintenance Plans, Equipment Troubleshooting, Electrical Troubleshooting, Mechanical Troubleshooting, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, PLC Programming, Metal Casting, and Blueprint Reading.
- Experience with Diesel engine, TIG Welder, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Conveyor Systems, and Servo Motors.
