Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be assigned a section of our plant to oversee alongside an engineer. Your responsibilities will include writing work instructions, implementing upgrades and changes, completing major repairs and preventive maintenance (PMs), working on specialized maintenance tasks, and conducting training. The primary focus of this role is the maintenance of our tube forming lines and presses. You will troubleshoot programming, fixtures, and production-related issues by operating and/or observing equipment to detect malfunctions or non-conforming conditions, and adjust machine controls as required.
Responsibilities
+ Support development of machine specifications for new equipment, machines, and tooling.
+ Investigate root cause of quality failures and implement permanent corrective actions in bellows forming.
+ Assist in training team leaders, maintenance staff, and tooling personnel as needed.
+ Monitor equipment cumulative cycles for predictive machine rebuild activity.
+ Conduct and lead major equipment rebuild activities.
+ Execute and verify the quality of preventive maintenance activities.
+ Assist in the development of techniques for specified production processes, such as tube welding, hydro-forming, assembly, and liner manufacturing.
Essential Skills
+ 6 years of experience as a maintenance technician.
+ 3+ years of experience in electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems (including sensors, basic PLC, and circuits).
+ Strong troubleshooting ability to diagnose and resolve machine issues.
+ Knowledge of material processing, tooling, and part fabrication.
+ Ability to read electrical prints and blueprints to determine machine malfunctions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Welding experience.
+ Automotive industry experience.
+ Strong PLC
+ Fabrication skills.
+ Experience with robotics.
+ CNC experience.

Work Environment
The job site is located in the 1201 Building, where you will work with automated tube benders, welding machines, ABB and other material handling robots, conveyors, and Allen Bradley/Siemens/Beckhoff PLC troubleshooting systems. The facility manufactures metal exhaust systems for automotive manufacturers, involving tube bending, assembly, manufacturing, and shipping. It is a fast-paced but clean environment, with some areas being louder due to machine operations. Compliance with all PPE and safety requirements is mandatory. Employees must have their own steel-toe shoes, which must be worn at all times in the plant. Safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection will be provided.
