Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Department: Maintenance
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Summary: This position is primarily responsible for the maintenance of all machinery utilized in production. Additionally duties include preventative maintenance, the construction of fabricated machinery, and assembly of new equipment.
Minimum Job Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED with experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified is preferred.
· A minimum of three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
· Must demonstrate ability to use a variety of tools to include welding instruments, hand tools, pneumatic tools, machine tools, and plasma cutters.
· An understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical skills is desired.
· Previous experience in tow motor operation is required.
· Basic computer skills is desirable.
· Prior work record indicating dependability and conscientiousness.
· Ability to work from schematics, blueprints, verbal and written instructions.
· Must be experienced in diagnosing and repairing equipment, machines, and tools.
· Must be willing to work in a team-oriented environment.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:
· Occasional outside work in the natural environment.
· Exposure to temperature changes, noise, fumes and mechanical, chemical, or electrical hazards.
· Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
· Ability to stand, walk, and balance for differentiated periods of time is required.
· Ability to climb, bend, stoop, and squat frequently.
· Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
· Must have good body mechanics and manual dexterity.
· The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds or more.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Essential Functions:
· Performs preventative maintenance on facilities and manufacturing equipment, mechanisms, and assemblies.
· Reviews preventative maintenance schedule and performs necessary maintenance to appropriate equipment and machinery.
· Reviews work orders and maintenance schedules to ensure continuous operation of equipment, materials, and personnel.
· Liaise with various departments on product, process, and equipment issues.
· Liaise with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) on product specifications, quality complaints, disposition methods, and recovery plans.
· Maintains preventative maintenance schedule and other associated records.
· Performs tool repair on a variety of hand held and pneumatic tools.
· Performs complex and/or routine repairs to equipment.
· Develops equipment design changes and modifications.
· Troubleshoots and isolates equipment malfunctions to component level.
· Operates equipment and tools safely as required by standard operating procedures.
· Maintains new and used production equipment.
· Assists with installation and rebuilding of new and used equipment.
· Demonstrates ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics and maintains and troubleshoots problems accordingly.
· Notifies supervisor of any quality or safety issues.
· Maintains effective interpersonal working relationships and functions as a team member.
· Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
· Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
