About the Job
Howmet Aerospace is seeking qualified candidates for our Maintenance Technician position for 2nd and 3rd Shift! This role will be responsible for daily maintenance, installation, dismantlement, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical or electrical equipment.
Pay Range: $25 - $40, dependent on experience.
***Training will be done on 1st Shift, MUST be available to work 1st Shift until training is complete.
Essential Functions
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance and repairs in order to ensure that all equipment continues to run effectively and facility systems operate efficiently and reliably.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotic machinery, combustion systems, electrical and electronic equipment.
• Install, assemble, rebuild and repair all types of equipment and support all facilities infrastructure.
• Inspect, operate, and test machinery and equipment.
• Participate in projects and planning events. Interface with suppliers and lead contracting activities. Use Computer Maintenance Management System.
• This position requires availability for shift and weekend work. Holiday and emergency coverage are also required.
Basic Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• 3 years of maintenance technician experience.
• Have at least 3+ years maintenance experience with PLC Systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and electrical repair.
• Formal PLC training and/or extensive hands on PLC experience.
• Experience in ultra high vacuum systems is an asset.
• Experience with man lifts (scissor and boom) and forklifts is an asset.
• Understand precision measuring instruments, electrical or electronic testing devices, drawings and schematics, equipment user manuals, activity and task instructions.
