Key Accountabilities
- Ensure products meet company standards and specifications
- Complete, legible, and accurate documentation
- Understand and follow all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Maintain Food Safety and Quality Standard Requirements daily
- Comply with the company's Allergen, Food Defense, and HACCP policies
- Communicate any Food Safety and Equipment concerns with Supervision
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the area worked
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Proper use and maintenance of equipment
- Collaborate with Supervision and Maintenance to keep equipment in good working condition
- Operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Correctly weigh and record any waste for disposal
- Follow all work instructions
- Perform other assigned duties as required by Supervision
- Maintain a clean work area and machinery
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary for tasks
- Avoid using damaged pallets
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures at all times
- Utilize all safety devices
- Report any unsafe work practices or injuries to your supervisor
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Respond promptly to radio calls; contact Facility supervisor or manager for priority task determination
- Ensure regular and predictable attendance
Responsibilities
- Maintain the quality, legality, and safety of each product, including the processes used in their manufacture
- Ensure equipment operates safely; machine guarding is in place
- Keep work area, facility, and machinery clean
- Perform repair and/or preventative maintenance on all equipment, building, offices, and grounds
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the Facility and across all shifts
- Proper use and maintenance of equipment and tools; maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Collaborate with Supervision and Maintenance to keep equipment in good working condition
- Assist with set-up, start-up, operation, shutdown, and disassembly of all equipment
- Assist with writing operating parameters and procedures as a team member
- Perform other duties as assigned by managers/supervisors
- Participate in shift handoff discussions with incoming and outgoing techs on the floor at the beginning and end of each shift
- Spend the majority of the shift on the production floor, focusing on urgent repairs, preventative maintenance, equipment observations, and continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned or volunteered for
