Job Summary:

Job Duties:
- Demonstrate proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting high-speed manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, cylinders, case formers, labeling equipment, fillers, and conveyors.
- Possess knowledge of welding techniques (stainless steel, MIG, TIG), fabrication, and the operation of machine shop equipment.
- Program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems and control wiring to identify and resolve issues.
- Enhance equipment effectiveness through meantime failure analysis, root cause analysis, general troubleshooting, operation maintenance, and setup of production equipment.
- Implement preventive maintenance work for equipment and facilities in accordance with manufacturer and engineering guidelines.
- Evaluate and modify preventive maintenance procedures with detailed steps and parts to reduce downtime across production and facility equipment.
- Support the maintenance of physical assets to ensure continued operation, line effectiveness, yield optimization, and cost control.
- Assess maintenance and equipment performance, and develop predictive and proactive plans.
- Identify and anticipate major repairs, replacements, and capital projects to ensure improved and continuous operations.
- Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
- Provide technical support in the area of electrical/controls.
Qualifications:
- Possess a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment, including the use of specialized diagnostic instruments.
- Demonstrate experience with photo eyes, sensors, and limit switches.
- Exhibit a high degree of precision working with minimum tolerances.
- Possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to react efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Hold a technical degree, accredited apprenticeship program, or equivalent in a technical field (preferred).
- Willingness to work any shift (nights and weekends), holidays, and overtime as required.
- Previous experience in food manufacturing is preferred.
